As part of the "Pixii-Expert day," Karibu performed a lecture on how reuse and biobased building can go together.

To achieve a sustainable transition within the construction sector, we cannot blindly rely on high-tech technologies. To achieve a mindshift, we must invest in eco-responsible, low-tech solutions and use technologies wisely in order to optimize them.

By returning to low technology solutions, we first of all aim to use the full material potential which biobased materials embody. With the knowledge we have today, we can use these materials in a targeted and smarter way for today's needs. Simultaneous, we should not immediately ban traditional building materials, but use them intelligently where they can prove significant value within the project.
